He stood over me, the colors of the eclipse framing his form. He pressed his left foot into my right wrist making me release Speedy. He threw his head back, barking a laugh at the moon. Tossing his sword aside, he knelt over me, pulled a smaller knife from his digging one of his knees into each shoulder.
"I think I'll start with your stupid ears." He spat.
That is when the first Hell Catt pounced on him. Set's knife skittered across the ground. He let out a guttural, wordless shout of anger as he wrestled with the giant feline. I could smell Set's blood in the air. It seemed he was losing this fight. The other Hell Catts moved in smelling prey. One nuzzled my hand as it stalked past me to join its pack.
I let out a shuddering breath in front of the Anubis. "Take me home".
I felt the pull of the Anubis in my stomach first. A gentle, but firm tug that was followed by the headiness that I was starting to be accustomed to. I pictured my home in my mind’s eye. My fireplace, the comfy leather chair where Tamra dispersed most of her advice, and my collection of Scotch on my beloved stainless-steel bar cart. Take me home, I broadcast over and over again.

I had not been debriefed yet and today was the day. I wasn't even sure what there was to tell. There was some sort of Hallow the Fae, all or some of them, had gone through great pains to make seem like members of the Council had stolen. I had no idea why, not a clue what the Hallow was, and was likewise as useless when it came to what the Hallow did. This debriefing would last about 15 seconds.
I took off my gloves so I could feel the hot chocolate in my hands. A small piece of linen fell out of my pocket as I tried to shove them in there. That was odd. I wasn't really one for carrying scraps of linen around. I turned the piece around to study it. Written in red was the word Remember.
